Safe passage after dark
A night chauffeur is a car and
professional driver booked in advance for a late-night or pre-dawn journey, at
a price agreed before you go out rather than discovered when you want to come
home. Westway Ride runs it across London and the UK as part of our chauffeur services
network, with fares from £38 in a Business Class and £50 in an
S-Class on central London night routes.
The number that matters is the one that
does not change. The price at 19:00 is the price at 02:00. No midnight
multiplier, no busy-area adjustment, no New Year’s Eve premium. For many
central routes a First Class costs the same as or less than a surged app ride in
whatever car happens to be nearby, and you know the figure hours before you
need it.
Everything else follows from being pre-booked. The vehicle waits on a side street near the venue rather than being summoned into a queue. A text brings it to the entrance in two to three minutes. Your chauffeur is enhanced DBS checked, suited and named on your confirmation, and does not drive away until you have opened your front door and stepped inside.
When You Need a Night Chauffeur
The pattern is consistent. After a
corporate dinner in Mayfair or the City. After the West End curtain falls
between 22:15 and 22:45 and several thousand people reach Shaftesbury Avenue at
once. After a gala running past midnight with a room in black tie and no
transport plan. After a concert at the O2, the Royal Albert Hall or Wembley.
After a members’ club on Berkeley Square.
Then the other direction. Before a 06:00
Heathrow flight that needs a 03:30 departure in the cold. After a delayed
landing at 23:45 when the terminal is emptying. When a company has served wine
at an event and a duty of care under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
to get people home. When a parent sends a car for a daughter after a ball and
wants confirmation she is inside.
December runs 300 to 400 percent above
normal volume. Book December dates by early

That depends on the night, and it catches people out. The Night Tube runs Fridays and Saturdays only, on five lines. From Sunday to Thursday the last trains leave central London around midnight to 00:30, which is exactly when a pre-booked car is worth most.
Yes, and it is also the only legal option for a private hire vehicle. Transport for London is explicit that a minicab must be booked and cannot be hailed, because a booking creates a record of the journey, the driver and the vehicle. Your confirmation carries the chauffeur’s name, photo and registration before they arrive.
