England. The chapel’s world-famous choir sings Evensong during term, which is
free to attend and worth planning the afternoon around.
Trinity College, the largest of the 31,
counts Newton among its fellows and keeps his statue in the antechapel. St
John’s owns the Bridge of Sighs, the covered stone crossing photographed from
every passing punt. Pembroke, Queens’ and Clare each reward a quieter wander
