A Heathrow to Southampton transfer (a
pre-booked private hire journey between Heathrow Airport and the city or cruise
port of Southampton) covers roughly 65 to 75 miles of motorway and takes 90
to 120 minutes in normal traffic. The road route leaves the airport
perimeter for the M25 anticlockwise, exits at Junction 12 onto the M3, then
runs south past Basingstoke and Winchester to Junction 14 and the M27 into the
docks.

ordinary taxi run: the flight and the ship. Arrival times slip. Cruise check-in
windows close. A private transfer therefore builds flight tracking, free

Southampton. The rail route runs Heathrow Express or the Elizabeth line to
Paddington, the Underground to Waterloo, then South Western Railway to
Southampton Central: 2.5 to 3 hours, three changes, £68 to £115 per person.
A taxi to the docks follows. For one traveller with one bag, that’s a fair

National Express runs a direct coach for
£15 to £25 in roughly 2 hours 20 minutes. It stops at Southampton Coach
Station, not at any cruise terminal, and the timetable ignores your flight.

75 to 90 minutes in normal traffic across 75 miles. Weekday rush hours between 07:00 and 10:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00 push it past 2 hours, so early sailings get an earlier pickup slot.
Yes, provided you land by 10:30 or 11:00 for a 17:00 sailing. That leaves time to clear immigration, collect luggage and reach the terminal before check-in closes. Landing after 13:00 is too tight to recommend.
All five: City, Ocean, Mayflower, Horizon and QEII. City, Mayflower and Horizon sit in the Western Docks, while Ocean and QEII sit in the Eastern Docks. Southampton hotels, Ocean Village and Southampton Airport are covered as well.
A private car is quicker, usually by 45 to 60 minutes door to door. Rail passengers take the RailAir coach to Reading, change trains, then take a taxi from Southampton Central to the berth. The car makes one direct run with your luggage in the boot.
